life sucks, i'm the most unemployable person in bangor and last week i looked after 4 kids for 4-5 days and my sister looked after them for about 10 hrs and insisted on stealing 1/3 of what i got paid cos she started moaning. she got paid a third for a quarter of the work. grrr.
deborah, the gym is a good way to past the time for the unemployed like us. think i might go swimming today.
one highlight of my week though went to see a take that tribute band called fake that on sunday night. genius. except they didn't look anything like them. they reminded me of take that's strange gay image in the late eighties.

hey guys sorry i havent blogged for ages, ive just been reading them. mmm trying to think whats been happening, just working a helluva lot and not been too well . actually it all started after the horse party, dont think i was quite up to the outdoorsy coldness but was still fab-u-lous. have some great photos and bron, some classics from manc! aidenn yeah thanks so much for the postcard, it was really really sweet! and i was also sucked in by the advertising campaign of nacho libre but i shall not go c it now. however, the new pirates of the carrabean (yeah whatever) is very good. cant believe its like only 12 days til my sister gets married. very strange. and then holiday! celebrate! all madness. god sorry my lifes been so boring i cant think of anything thats happeneed. oh wait i passed my exams. i actually cudnt believe it had to get my mum to check for me. even that one i completely spazzed up the dates on! mental but just very relieved. anyway i shall return when i have more news. over and out.

I went to a drive in movie the other night and it was so cool. We saw Cars, the new Pixar movie and twas fun-a-licious. But the second movie was Nacho Libre, the new Jack Black film, and I don't know if they've started advertising it back at home yet but know this: it looks kinda fun on the movie posters, but it's actually the crappest crap that ever crapped. Don't see it, it really is awful. It's like they were trying to be Napoleon Dynamite but it was actually cringeworthy. Anyway, we drove out in the middle, none of us could sit through it. So that's you warned!

well the plan for today is to chase up on people who said they'd phone me back and they didn't. its so bad that i'm running out of jobs to apply for.
i watched this film thing last night about sept 11 and it was really shocking. it wasn't your sensationalist michael moore stuff but basically there's loads and loads of evidence that the 911 attacks were carried out by the US govt. and not supposed terrorists. it makes loads of sense cos basically america could do whatever the feck it wanted and just used 911 to justify it. it showed all the news coverage on the day and all the people near the twin towers said they heard loads of explosions and if you look carefully at the footage you can see explosions going on in the building which brought the towers down, it wasn't the planes. basically the towers collapsing cos of a crash and a fire defies all the laws of science. and there was no plane crash at the pentagon cos all the eyewitnesses said they didn't see a plane crash into the building, that was done by bombs as well and then they faked the plane crash by putting some plane debris there, about 2 pieces and they screwed that up cos the 2 pieces of debris that they found didn't match the type of plane that supposedly crashed into the building. and the guy who owned the world trade centre conveniently insured it for about a billion million pounds from acts of terrorism like a week before. there's loads more stuff as well.
but oh wait there's the fbi storming through the door to carry me off.

Seriously though, you do not want a cleaning job. Why don't you try The Stables in Groomsport (a restaurant, not a horsey place as I originally thought)? I know it's a bit of a trek but my mum asked for me and they said there's always work over summer (esp for students), so I'm gonna apply there when I come home - we might end up worlking together! You've got catering and hospitality experience, why not give it a go? Also I can ask at my smoothie place if they've got jobs when I start there and put in a good word for you if u like.

ok guys bear with me a minute i just need to rant for a bit. sorry aideen and helen - uve heard most of this. but arjhgslvkjhfbdal!12R£ !!!

next year im living with harriet (from my course, shes cool) and her cousin louisa, who seems ok enough. louisa is living and workin in derby but coming to london this summer to get a job here long term. "so" i ask, "what sort of areas do u want to live in?" "well" shes says "battersea would be ideal. and there definately has to be a pub nearby". she also refused to pay a penny more than £100 a week which makes things extremely difficult for the area, cos its a nice area.

anyway, after trudging around london all fucking week and wrecking my shoes cos of it, what do i find, a beautiful apartment in battersea - wooden floors, new kitchen, secure entrance, roof terrace, overlooking the park. basically everything she wanted for £305 a week. perfect. i arranged viewings, transprt, blah blah. i opted to take the double room and pay the £5 difference if the other two were happy with the other rooms. not a problem, they said.

only problem we had was that landlord - decent enough guy, not like some of the sleazes weve met - had to start the lease from july 1st, cos he cant have it lying empty all summer. he agreed though to let us pay £200 a week from July to October, a good deal. before i said anything, louisa said "oh ill pay full rent for those months cos u guys wont even be living here". "u sure?" i said, cos i was prepared to split it evenly up until then. but she was actually adament. fair enough.

i arranged a second viewing today with harriet and my brother and we looked round. harriet was under instruction to make sure louisa had enough room for all her stuff. turns out the small room is too small for louisa. and to be fair, it is tiny, there is a bed and a built in wardrobe just enough room for a square table and chair, not even a desk (which she doesnt need, i would) but then i fuckin offered to take that room to close the deal.

i also had to make sure landlord would provide some extra furniture and paying arrangements. oh wait, suddenly louisa has decided her mystery job which she hasnt got in london isnt going to start until mid august so why should she pay extra for july? what the fuck?!? but ok, mysely and harriet will pay an extra £20 a week for july if ul shut the fuck up. yeah, just enjoy living away from me presently.

okay i dont want to sound up myself (bear in mind as u read that im fuckin ragin) but basically i did absolutely everything. so all ready for contract signing. suddenly cant contact lousia. whats that? u need more time? what the fuck im going home on tues morning, wont be back til october - i would very much like to have something to show for all my efforts this week. finally get through to her - what? paying the 6 weeks half rent that u wont be here overjuly and august is too much even though the apartment is really really good value for money and well end up spending that money somewhere else anyway?!?!?!?!?!!?1?!?'lwKEGJ !!! 9pm tonight - when i was planning to sign 2m - is when she lets me know its off. i could fucking strangle her i really could. fucks sake.

sorry i feel like krakatoa. and i apologise for the excessive swearing and boring ranting. she had better find the sweetest place when she comes to live her for us.

oh yeah - did i mention that there was a pub 15 seconds away?

Been pissing around all day. Tried to do some revision with my flatmates in the kitchen which was nice but we ended up turning on Lauren's laptop and dancing to My Humps. Then I debated whether or not to go busking cos I'm pretty broke at the mo and have a Big Drunken Night Out™ planned tomorrow with Louise and crew, plus a driving lesson on Thursday, so both combined are gonna cost me over £40. Then decided against it cos I need new material and don't want to overexpose myself. I went up to the hospital with my friend Max cos I wanted to get involved in hospital radio but tonight was a commitee meeting so it was a wasted journey (and a bloody long one through the rain and wind) as they couldn't train me. Shoite. Anyway,hopefully the revision will go better tomorrow, my exam's in a week! Note to self: never ever revise with flatmates.

hola everyone, i have had a strange few days indeed. robots in disguise was good except i was really drunk by the time we got there and we turned up halfway through the set so the man didnt charge us gig prices, so i saw them for £3 which was sweet. then yesterday i was at my sisters till 7 because everyone was away from my halls and i was bored there, when i got a text message from ricky c saying him and paul were coming to glasgow that night to see cooper temple clause and did i want to go! it was so great to see them and have a big mad night out when before all i had to look forward to was my own company. then stayed last night and we stayed up till 5 and i was supposed to be revising today but i am just so tired im pissing around. whoops! anyways im glad my exams end tomorrow and i got the monies so im sweet for a few days at least. nothing else of note

da vinci code - ok u guys are all doing fairly literary subjects compared to me. the only books i have read since september have been the dvc, airport books and maths books so please excuse me when i got addicted to the dcv. yes it is terribly written but the story in the book is done much much better than the film. however, now uve all seen the film and are suitably put off, i dont imagine any of u guys will read it. and aideen, im sorry we seem to be disagreeing a lot, but tom hanksis really awful in it. his characterisation is completely inconsistent and audrey is just looking like a wee delicate flower the whole time. even ian mc kellen is only okayish, which is a major disappointment.

had my sisteres hen party on saturday, we drank so much champagne it was hilarious. we secretly ordered a limo - tho 2 arrived by mistake!!! - and there was a magnum of champagne in it - 1.5litres! and we finished it by the time it took to drive to the odysessy! went to the red panda for a meal and there were 8 hen parties and a stag party in there so it was really noisey but good food and not as expensive as i thought it would be. then... mc decided she wanted to go to the bamboo beach club, not precious. it wasnt as traumatic as the first time i went, it was mainly cheesy at the end. but it was cool, we had tiaras and wands and boas and loads of random stuff. anyways i have to go,

Awww Annie your post made me laugh so much, I miss you! Hell yes I am going to Leeds and better still we get our own camping area and nice showers, not the skanky ones everyone else has to use. Ching ching! I can't believe you're going to see Robots in Disguise, they always play them on radio 6 and they're pretty damn fine if you ask me. They don't seem like a Mighty Boosh sort of band, have they played on it or just been on it as characters? Also Mighty Boosh rocks. "I'm Old Gregg!" hahahaha!

About the Da Vinci code - my friends seem to be in accordance with yours in that it's really crappily written. And yes, the film did go on for about ten years but it had Audrey Tautou AND Paul Bettany in it so I could have watched it all day. Agreed, though, about the twist. As soon as they said Jesus had descendants I knew it would be Sophie, partly cos they had one big meaningful shot of her as soon as they said it. Dumbasses. I disagree that Silas wasn't scary though, I mean look at him, he flogs himself with a cat o' nine tails for chrissake! Psychoooo...

I think I might have srted myself out with a job for summer, some lady phoned me today from Tonic (the smoothie place in bloomfields) to arrange an interview. Yeooo!!! Hopefully I'll get the job, that would be such a relief.

hello everyone, i haven't been here in a while and had to spend ages catching up reading everything thats been happening, so much scandal for you all! i hope you get in dette! well i am in my halls and the majority of people i know have gone home so its just my hanging round on my own, i am going to a gig tonight if it isnt sold out of the band robots in disguise who were in the mighty boosh a couple of times, so im quite excited. yesterday we had a party at my halls ( for those that remain) and it was pretty fun with a hog roast and a bouncy castle and a bungy run, bit of a laugh. my flat mate alice has just got over mumps but i keep imagining i have them every 2 minutes, its quite scary. it was really sad saying good bye to everyone for the summer but im glad im one of the last to leave cos then i dont have to say goodbye to everyone at once. i cant wait to get back to NI to enjoy the summer, i just hope i dont have mumps. aideen are you defo going to leeds? that would be ace! also this guy, i would have to see a pic but he sounds okay, maybs you could be friends with him? or you know, let him chase you for a while, i mean you can hardly get in too deep cos you are going home in a second. now to green wing, yes brian from spaced plays a good part but he is the only vaguely funny thing in it, it is show that lasts an hour when it should only be half an hour and its not like that much happens, half the hour is spent playing music and speeding up and slowing down the shot. YAWN. i do admit however that the second series was slightly funnier than the first, and i only watched bits of it cos my flat mate is obsessed with it. and now to the da vinci code. i have never read the book because most people who i value the opinions of said it was written really crapily. i went to see the movie the other day and my god, DOES IT EVER END? i get shivers when i think about the last half hour because i wanted to leave sooo much, and the TWIST if it can be called that was so glaringly obvious from about 20 minutes in it was ridiculous. amilie kept saying 'professor!' every two minutes and the monk wasn't even scary, but i guess its okay you found him hot aideen cos he is quite hot normally. i guess apart from the last half hour it was quite enjoyable and interesting but i dont think i could ever sit through it again. i went to see this crappy horror movie called when a stranger calls and it was funny, i advise you all to go see it for fun!
mark has many things planned for the horse party so its very exciting, i better go now but i hope everyone did well in thier exams, i and i cant wait till mine are over!

don't read the da vinci code, dan brown is quite a shit writer. cos i was reading it in work last summer and some people were like oh my god its the best book i've ever read. clearly they haven't read that many books. am interested to see what the film would be like though. it's a bit worrying that people think the whole things true, it's an interesting perspective but a lot of his 'facts' are a lot of shite.
just using the computers while waiting for my washing to finish. i hate the laundrette, it's the most depressing place ever. also am hungover cos last law exam yesterday and that resulted in me being drunk. have last french exam tomorrow but it should be ok cos we have 2 hours to write 300 words on something crap like windmills.

Anyway, went to see the Da Vinci Code last night and I really liked it (what's wrong with it Dette?). I haven't read the book and don't plan to cos I've been told by more than one person that it reads like it's been written by a two-year old. So I was interested just to see what the plot was exactly. Anyway, it was entertaining, Tom Hanks was very good and I officially want to marry Audrey Tautou. Having said that, is it wrong to fancy the Opus Dei guy? He has a nice bum.

hee hee just spent a day with my bro chilling - had toblerone cheesecake and then played fooseball in a cool 50s bar in liverpool street - nearish u helen. it is so cool. but damn him with his stupid dream job - last week he had an overnight stop in geneva and got to spend a day and a half there and he was staying in the bloody penthouse suite of the geneva hilton - free! he had a triple bed (what for? hmm) and his walk-in wardrobe was about the size of my room. oh, but poor him, his breakfast wasnt free. tsk tsk.

and in case anyone was as obsessed as i was, the da vinci code film is not just crap, but heart-wrenchingly disappointing and quite frankly, an insult to the whole of humanity ever.

Well Debs I would but the fact is he's got a girlfriend and cheating is wrong. So, although I am very tempted, I'm not going to go after him. I am going to pop round some time next week and see what he has to say though. He emailed me back saying the reason why he thought Chloe's two-faced is that she told him I was interested in him and in his opinion quote-unquote "friends should keep each other's secrets and not flaunt them as amusing anecdotes". Ayayayayayay! Soooo much drama's just crashed into me in the space of about 5 minutes.
Before I get started, just wanted to say go you Dette, if you wanna leave uni go for it cos I know it hasn't been all that good for you this year. Hope everything works out okay for you.

Okay, there's this guy called Ben who I kinda fancy. He's part of the stoner crew who live downstairs from Louise and Chloe and I've only met him once but we flirted like mad, he gave me loads of advice on DJ equipment (I'm thinking of getting a set of decks for my birthday) and good bands,and said he'd copy me some CD I liked. Also, even though he's a complete stoner he's very intelligent and always gets 90% in his history papers,very well read, blah blah. So I was talking to Louise and Chloe afterwards saying he's cute and stuff, and they were like yeah cool but you don't wanna get involved cos a) he's got a girlfriend, b) I don't wanna get mixed up with the stoners cos they'll probably talk about me loads and lots of other complicated things, and c) Ben's a bit of a shleggg, Louise says all he sees girls as is, in her words, "tits and clits". On paper, that's like Aideen-kryptonite. So I've been thinking "ok whatever I still think he's cute but nothing's gonna happen anyway so meh". But then there now I got this email from him:

How weird is that? Doesn't it sound like he's after something? First of all, I think it's insanely out of order that he called Chloe two-faced because a) she's not and b) she's one of my closest friends at uni. And I know that if I do go over he'll probably try to seduce me or something and I would never want to fuck over his girlfriend like that. But a) I want that cd and b) I do fancy him quite a bit, so the attention is lovely. Argh!

okay guys. picture this. being very relieved that my dad fully supported my decision to leave and everyone being cool about it, i decided to ya know, give the rest of my exams a fair shot, see how they go, type thing. so revised really hard last nite, read all my notes for M1F, the exam today, did all the papers, learnt the proofs etc, and was going to spend tonight revising M1M2 - for 2moro and do M1A1 on tues nite. so got up early this morning, did last minute revision, feeling as confident as i legally could (considering ive pretty much screwed up) about the exam, went into college early to hand in computing coursework and check the seating plan etc. found out 45minutes before it started that apparently i had M1M2 today and not M1F. shite.

went momentarily hysterical then just thought, what the fuck, what is the point? so i sat it, did about an hours work then quit. then headed straight to the union bar with a friend. seriously i feel like my heads been in a blender. but its cool now, im fine.

Dear god, I thought this essay would be easy but it's actually not. That's what I get for putting it off til the night before!

Anyway, I was reading all the posts last night when me and my friends were hanging out at Louise and Chloe's friends flat. They were the biggest stoners I have ever met! They smoked like a million joints between them when I was there and apparently they do that every night and don't ever eat. It was amusing and also I think I fancy one of them but it might have been the funky drum 'n' bass music making my head go funny. Anyway, your posts made me laugh out loud and when I tried to explain the lightbody-underwear thing to them they were like "huh?" Also we'd been out for a meal (not the stoners) beforehand and I was soooo full up that I couldn't finish the can of cider I'd brought down from Louise and Chloe's fridge so I was like "here doesn anyone want this cider" and one of them was like "oh yeah me please, I've only had two pints today". Which begs the question is that an unusually low amount for an average day? teeheehee....

I haven't got any news really, as usual, except that i've buggered my knee, and am walkin about like a cripple- its very very sore, poor me- the chocolate swiss roll from Knotts has helped, hmmmm sooo good. Have also been avoiding my history essay for 3 weeks now, but i finally have to get it finished because it has to be submitted tomorrow (ahhh) and then i can say good riddance to history for the rest of my life, hurrah! (apart from the exam- yuck- history at uni is actually complete torture and i'm soooo glad its not my major)

Abandon my ass. This place is da bomb!

Well guys, the shit hit the fan for real last night. This story requires a bit of background information so sit tight...

I've become very close to these two girls from uni called Louise and Chloe. Actually, Louise is the girl I'm going to New York with. The three of us just really click, y'know? Anyways, Louise and Chloe have been roped into living with this girl called Michelle next year, who is the rarest person ever. She's annoying, she has the worst mood swings in the world, she will get stroppy and moany about the stupidest things and will treat her friends like shit, plus she acts like she's about 5. She just kind of forced herself on them. Now, you really need to meet this girl to understand what she's like, but I'll give a few examples:

Michele Story #1
On Friday night Michelle stays at L&Cs and in the morning she wants a jug in which to warm up her milk in the microwave. L&C do not have a jug. Michelle demands to know why not? and Chloe says "it's okay, you can warm it up in a pan or something over the hob, or use a bowl". Michelle freaks out "You're not listening to me Chloe! I want a jug!" and goes off in a huff.

Michelle story #2
Last night me and L&C were watching Green Wing in Chloe's room but Michelle doesn't like it so she went on Louise's laptop in the room next door. Louise went into her room to get a few things and found Michelle eating ice cream over her laptop, this being a £600 piece of machinery. Louise explained "Can you not eat around the laptop? I just don't want it to get broken and I don't like people doing it, thanks." and Michelle said okay. Five minutes later she came back in to find her still munching on Ben&Jerrys, just not directly over the keyboard, and asked her again not to do it. After a few times, Michelle still hadn't stopped eating. Now, a normal person would be embarassed that they had to be specifically asked not to eat ice-cream in the first place and would apologise and not do it again. Not Michelle. She shouted at Louise, going "I'm not even eating it over the keyboard!" and basically challenging Louise's authority on the subject of her own fucking laptop. Then she goes "Don't you have insurance?", Louise says "No", Michelle replies "WHY DON'T YOU HAVE INSURANCE?", as if it's okay to break her computer as long as she has insurance, and as if any company will give you a new computer just cos you've spilt ice-cream on the last one. She got her to stop eating it in the end, but it took a mighty fucking struggle.

There are other things she's done, bigger stuff, but these need to be explained in person for you to get the full impact. I swear to God, we bitched about her for four hours straight the other day.

Anyhoo, last night I had an essay to write, but you know how easily distracted I am, so I decided to go round and watch my new Green Wing DVD (oh lordy I am obsessed with that show). Michelle's been spending more and more time with them lately, and this is a bit annoying cos, wel, she's annoying. It would be like me wanting to hang out with you guys and enjoy your company, and someone like Darius coming along and spoiling our fun. So Michelle's been doing these little things all week that tick them off and they've just let them go but they've been building up. Me and Louise are down the hall in the kitchen making sandwiches and Michelle goes in to Chloe's room to ask her something and Chloe says "aha" to whatever it is, perfectly innocently. Michelle starts reading into her response, cos it wasn't as enthusiastic as she'd like or something and goes on at her a bit like "Oh, what's the problem?" - I didn't really hear this bit cos I was in the kitchen. But then all of a sudden me and Louise hear

"OH MY GOD MICHELLE I'M SICK OF THIS! STOP PUTTING ALL YOUR FUCKING BULLSHIT NEGATIVITY ON ME! I'M NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS NEXT YEAR"

Chloe just flipped. Completely. She went on and on at her for about five minutes, then Michelle went off crying in the bathroom (I don't blame her, it was fucking scary and Chloe even scared herself). Louise eventually got her out and they sat her down and told her exactly what they thought of her. It was weird, I've never been in a situation like that before. Anyway, we managed to talk it all out and Michelle promised to change and so on. But fuuuuck me, what a trip. Ifelt a bit sorry for her actually, but she had it coming.

I'm back!!! Feels good to be home, and have all my food bought for me! Bron, I went to Lille with my French class, and it was free! We took the Eurostar cos the station it goes from is only 20 mins away, and it took an hour to get there! Quicker than London. Anyway, I sympathise with ya over the work, three projects to work on over Easter. Not good.

Anyway, who wants to meet up for coffee in Belfast on Wednesday? I know all the transport services are on strike tomorrow, so it'll hafta be the next day. Can't wait to see you all!

thats a common mistake bronagh, i dodnt have a computer in my halls but i find time to go on myspace in the library and anywhere else i can, you should try it next time you want to waste time on the net! its good to be back and just melting in my house in front of the tv. might get old quick though....

hey ho, im back in bangor, and apparently no one else is? when do you all return? and deborah what happened to lime light on tues, also how was the wedding! i just said bye to my visitors kate and rachel, was good fun, but i need some rest after the mad week i have had, i had mark over for his birthday so i have been out 6 of the last 8 nights, the real question is, will i go out tongiht? only time will telll......and tiredness......and my liver. im really glad that its gonna be summer soon, but its scary how fast this year has gone. dette when i heard about those medical volunteers i was really upset and that so awful its someone you know, i hope he is gonna be okay. i dont have a lot lined up for when im home yet, just need to relax, also my parents are away to sudan to visit my sister so i have a free house till next friday.....yawn.....laters

I Cannot wait for this week to be over as it is work hell. three essays in this week and then french coursework next week. i have to hand in my criminal law essay tomorrow and i haven't even started it. i should have done it last night but instead i decided to get drunk. am feeling well rough today and look it to. went to the gaelic football club party and everyone was wrecked. also ryan hanna and niall morris were there and ryan looked liked he couldn't stand up. knew he was wasted cos his conversation went like this: blagh drink up bronagh blagh blagh you're too sober you could teach me R.E blagh blagh how's mr. kealey? oh dear.
also fell on my arse(again) while dancing to the irish rover. shameful.

anyway, yeah that guy is a first year, doing some engineering i think. his situations has improved a bit but hes still really ill.
st paddy's nite was a total right-off here cos everything that could have gone wrong did. just made me angry. angry and drunk.
so fecked off with work at the moment - two tests and coursework this week, only starting to properly work today. but yep, the rugby was sweet sweet sweet. also logan, what was that about an eye for an eye robinson??
