hey, things aren't going too well. have loads of work and the bank are being bastards and are really slow, trying to get an overdraft. so i actually have no money. not a penny. great. also gina (my cousin) went into labour on saturday and she had a baby boy on sunday morning but midwife noticed he wasn't breathing and so he's been on a ventilator since. she was in cavan hospital and they had to move her and harry to dublin hospital. well they did a cat scan and harry has brain damage. now he doesn't respond to anything at all and he can't breathe for himself. everyone knows there's no hope so it'll be a matter of days before they turn ventilator off i imagine. all they can do is just let her be with him and say goodbye. its so sad, cos when i was in cavan she had his nursery set aside and loads of baby stuff, like the clothes and the pram and i'm really worried about her, she's only 23 and its her first baby. i don't know if i'm going home yet or not but if everyone could just think of them i'd really appreciate it.

I always thought this Tom guy was the same age as us, people are always talkin about him at work, and one girl is goin out with his brother Johnny, who's a bit of a minger, anywhoo. Aideen, I saw that biscuit city on T.V., its made of like every biscuit, well its probably gone now cause they've started eatin it.
Kerri says hi, she's been on Blog to read, but apparently hasn't got anything to say!
Oh and Deborah, this is quite random, but i found you're exact soundalike in Bangor station, i actually thought it was you, but then turned around and it could practically have been a women who had swallowed you (she was quite fat if you didn't get that). And also yeah get off on the 7th cause the lecturers are striking- score!

Okay, huuuuge big essay to hand in on Tuesday, worth 20% of the year, none of the books I need are in the library, I even went up to the University of Kent's library and they didn't have it there either...and I haven't even started writing yet. So naturally I'm on the internet! Hopefully by tonight I'll have a bit more done. Or a bit done at all.
Anyhoo, it was lovely to see you Londoners on Sunday, good to get out of Cunterbury too for a bit. I left on Monday and my family stayed on an extra day, and they said that they went to this hotel for a cup of tea and there was this giant sculpture of London made out of biscuits, and the staff said that if they came back the next day they could help eat it, but unfortunately they had to go home that day so they couldn't partake in that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. *Sniff*
Oh, and in other news...I'M GOING TO NEW YORK!!!
Yeah I decided to go back to visit Sarah in Ohio this summer, and I thought that on the way I might as well stop off in NYC for a week. It was going to be just me on my ownio, but now my friend Louise says she might come with me if she can afford it. Woo-hoo!!! I'm trying to get cheap flights if possible, and instead of flying from NY to Pittsburgh I might get the train, which is about $150 cheaper but it takes 9 hours!!! Ah well, Annie managed it on her way to London, so I might just give it a go. Especially if it only costs like £30!
I broke up with my girlfriend on Saturday cos I figured I wasn't that into her. Now my friend Chloe is trying to get me to go outwith her boyfriend's friend Gerry but he's 25! Bit too old for me, but I'll give it a go anyway. How's everyone else's love life?
Anyhoo, I'm off to start this essay. Wish me luck!

is the blog broken? bronagh's messages havent come up. i am about to start looking for a flat for next year but we are trying to get a five, so i hope we can do it. probably stay in the west end near my sister and the like. i am so tired, i havent been sleeping very well and then this morning we were supposed to be having a fire drill at 7 in the morning. so i thought it would be a good idea to set my alarm for 10 to 7 and then i would have time to shove on a dressing gown and not be woken by the noise. however i went to bed and woke to the sound of the fire bell ringing. why did my alarm not go off i wondered. i decided to look at my clock, it was only half four in the morning and it turned out this guy had come back drunk and set off a fire extinguisher, and yes guess what, i got back ot bed by 5 and had to get up again 2 hours later for the actual drill. i am in hell. in other news i am completely addicted to myspace. when is everyone going home for the holidays? i am thinking of coming home on the 21st and i might be bringing some peeps with me. shall keep yas posted. cant think of anything else new except i havent drank in over a weeeeeek. score!

hey, yeah dette it's so class when parents come over.so much food. my mum and sister were in manchester saturday and sunday and we went to the nicest chinese in the world on sat. night and then i made my mum bring me food shopping in marks and spencers. something i would never dream of doing myself. but so much nice food. yums. think i have to go out tonight and i really don't want to cos can't afford it. also last time i got a just a bit wasted and passed out in our living room. apparently i was asking everyone what happened to karate kid 2. don't ask me why. oh yeah and me and debs have a flat next year but our land lady is actually the most mental person in the world and told us that she loved us. she seems like the type of person who's going to turn up randomly for a cup of tea.

Also, Dette, I'd be absolutely raging if the fire dept. took so long to start putting out my fire that my whole apartment got destroyed! Did you see it? How exciting!!!

Hey peeps, sorry I haven't been on here in yonks. I've spent this past week in bed with the flu. But I'm feeling better now, so tis all good! I'm coming up to London on Sunday cos my family are coming over but I'm only staying one night so I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to spend with you Londoners. Dette I'm planning on taking my parents to that pizza place near Gloucester Rd tube station so I might see if they'll let me drop in on you for a while, if you're around.
Louise, post the Myspace link, I can't find it! Also, well done on your results, I just got my essay back and I got 59%, which is quite good cos apparently they don't give high marks in the first year incase we all get big headed
*Sigh* I have to break up with my girlfriend soon, it's not working. I was on my way up to her house to do it earlier and I texted her to check if she was in but she wasn't and then she texted back saying is everything okay and I didn't know what to say! I had to try very hard not to dump her via text message, during my bed-ridden days I watched many an episode of SATC including the one where Berger breaks up with Carrie on a post-it note, so that served as a cautionary tale for me to do it properly! I'm going round tomorrow, wish me luck!
On a lighter note, I might be going to Reading or Leeds for free this summer! My boss at Oxfam showed me this memo she got saying they were looking for volunteers to help run the stalls they set up. You have to work for 4-6 hours every day and then you get a free meal and get to see all the bands! Well, not all of them, but still, it's a free ticket, how cool would that be?
We've just heard that our radio station is going to join up with the other university here and the art college to get a permanent RSL (restricted service licence) so we will be broadcasting to the whole of Canters all the time for the next 5 years! Woo hoo!
Or in the words of Duff Man...

hey guys. can anyone believe that six weeks of term are already over? how mental is that!!! i feel so good - got my coursework in a day early (ok so its badly done but sure), spent ages on my computing and its 80% done and generally things are cool. well not yesterday when i was majorly stressed cos had to much to do - wont bore u - but it culminated in me locking myself out of my room at 23:50 and after midnight, u dont get back in. so was madly running round looking for a fone (oh yeah i was wearing really really rare pjyamas) and finally got one and got in okay but next time i lock myself out its a £20 fine - d'oh! going to my brothers graduation 2moro - loads of free champers - yeeo - and my dad is coming over so yay, free meals. been to the cinema loads recently - go see brokeback mtn and memoirs of a geisha. they are so good. anyway, i think thats all. no wait! i knew there was something that i wanted to report. okay for those of u who dont know, i live in a really really posh area but there are 5 student halls in the area too and the posh people are always complainig about the noise and beers and general students. however, on tues night, one of the posh peoples apartments caught fire. it started off as like quite a small fire on the roof but for some reason, despite evacuating the whole street, cordoning off the street, there being 8 fire trucks and the freeking fire command unit, it took ages before they started to put out the fire. by the time they started witht the lift-thingy, the fire had completely engulfed the top apartment and started spreading. it took 3 hours for it to be compleletly out - this was 9pm, and then the builders and fire people worked until freeking 8am. i cant believe it took so long. but who would have thought the first place to catch fire would be one fo the posh people - theyre a different breed. hee hee, in fact, after everyone was evacuated, this man, who owned the flat under the one on fire, ran back in and grabbed 2 bottles of red wine and glasses before the firemen chased him out again. it was hilarious. obviously an alcho. annnnnyway. bye
bronagh
ahh shit no. me and deborah keep seeing ryan hanna lookalikes everywhere. either its him or he has a clone factory or something. haven't met harry yet though and hope i never will.

Was listening to Chris Moyles show this morning and they were talkin about myspace.com so decided to go have a look, anyway i put down our schools name and it brought up an 'alumni' page, Emmet's profile was on it but also, ugh!, Sheila's who has this massive cleavage showin picture, is calling herself 'Shell' and basically portraying herself as a slut!! Its really sick but i'm sure ya's will want to take a look (especially you Deborah) I quickly deleted that i went to St Pats in fear that she would try to contact me- I'm never goin on that site again, i've been traumatised!!
Oh, and also i was talkin to Grainne McHenry the other day and she was sayin how the house was brilliant, yada yada yada, but how they were getting ready for Lucy goin to Manchester. I just thought she meant she was goin for the weekend or something, but then she said again how she Lucy was goin to Manchester, but added in that it was in September. So i don't know if Lucy's goin over to live in Manchester and go to uni or not. I'm sure, Deborah and Bronagh, you're already lookin forward!!!

bronagh, i spent over £200 this week. THAT is bad. probably closer to £250, cos i did weekly food shop (£15), had to buy a birthday present (£7) and go out for birthday lunch (£10), top up fone (£15), top up travelcard (£10), another £8 in boots, felt very impulsive and went shopping (£30 - yeah major regret, that will probably be returned), went out to a club and got 2 drinks(£12), out to lunch again (£8), bought a bike, helmet, lights, pump, lock... (£150) and 2 more drinks last nite (£7). yeah £272 quid. in one week. i hate london prices. and im probably going to have to pay shit more in accomodation next year than im even paying now cos ill have to pay electricity and all that shit on top of this. but aside from that, the club we went to was amazing, it was in an old theatre and had cool music and rock bands but they were a bit shit. but seriously, it was huge. about 5 or 6 floors and was really ornate with boxes and stuff. pretty much like a rock club in the grand opera house in belfast but bigger. awh man, so cool. yeah i have 2 tests next week. is anyone else not doing an work at all? seriously, im sure i did a million times more work for bloody key statge 3 exams than im doing now. its so so bad. im going to try to work from this week. and yea, see how little money i can spend. like thats going to work...
