hey guys - wow bron ur being so good. i havent been doing exercise at all - feel so guilty. well twice i did go running but ive hurt my ankle its all swollen up so ive been hobbling about on painkillers since last monday. its not fun since i live on the freekin 2nd floor! also annie yeah thats cool. unfortunately, and it goes against everything i believe in but i cant go to ben folds, i have no money. its not funny at all. we are forced to make our own cheap entertainment here, such as toast cricket, lime rugby and wheelchair olympics. however, our warden is threatening to start proceedures to kick us out of halls, if not imperial, if we dont stop disturbing our neighbours. well screw them! what else? just been working a bit, trying to not get kicked out until after xmas at least, althought aidan is coming to see me on friday - yay! and like18 days til i go home - 16th! cant wait. so sick of cooking for myself already - had pasta and veg tonight for about the millionth night in a row. urgh. mon the xmas dinner! u knows it

hey, i'm just back from an hour of aerobics, oh how good am i? its in our halls and its free but its really tough, and she makes us do all these evil stretches and sit ups. prodigy was very good by the way and going to see mr. wainwright on friday night. but am so unbelievably broke think i have sixty quid until christmas i just hope they hurry up and pay me soon cos was meant to be getting first pay thing on friday but the banks were being bastards. need to do so much work this week and not drinking, was out on friday and saturday and went to see harry potter yesterday. yay! really liked it. also super excited cos i might be going to see the almighty take that in april. woo-hoo! went to this super cheesy thing called the bop and the last song they played was never forget. quality! oh how i hate fire alarms! they went off twice today at dinner time and then last night at 2am when i was actually asleep for once. it was the eejit next door who decided to make toast on the grill in the middle of the night cos the flat refuses to pull together to buy a five pound toaster from tescos. and he was actually proud of it. grr. i should really be doing my french work now, so much work before xmas. then will drink some coffee cos am working midnight till half 3 tonight. woo-hoo! it really is a bitch. i got my hair cut today, how exciting , and i actually splashed out for once in my life on a nice hairdressers, normally i pay about eight quid. and its all short and curly. got a colour in it as well. the guy went all mental with the diffuser but its actually quite nice.

also, i refuse to acknowledge its christmas until december.

hey everyone, havent been on here in a while because i have been writing 2 bitches of essays, but i got them in and didn't have to pull any all nighters, so it was sweet. on friday when i handed in the second essay i felt so good and then the weather was so cold it felt like christmas morning, i then went to get my loan scanned (should be coming through any day now) and then went and started drinking at 2 in the afternoon, and didnt stop all day. went out that night aswell to cheesy pop at the QM union, drunken drunken night. then on saturday niamh and her friend from uni came to stay in glasgow, so i felt it would be kind of me to go out again on saturday night. i feel so shattered like ive been on a bender, which i have kind of. my flat mate Kate threw up on saturday night, and it was the first time she had thrown up in 9 years cos she has a fear of vomit, i cant help but feel responsible. i went to see harry potter last night and it was tres enjoyable, but 1000000 light years long. i dont have a lot of work on between now and christmas, just reading and stuff which i better go do. im going to go clothes shopping with my loan, need warm winter things because this is gonna be the coldest winter since 1967 or something, and im in Glasgow, the coldest place ever anyway. where is deborah? i wish she would phone me again like she said she would (hint hint) maybe just an e mail? ocean_spray14@hotmail.com (hint hint), anyway, i was wondering, what would be the best way to go to london from glasgow? by best i mean cheapest and/or most comfortable, all ideas welcome. laters

hey, everyone. damn you aideen but i probably can't afford to go myself. going to see the prodigy on wednesday night with michael and debs, as long as our tickets get here on time! i'm freaking out cos i really haven't done much work this semester at all. going to seminars and lectures and stuff and doing work i absolutely have to do but apart from that i've done feck all reading for law and sort of worrying a bit now. also going out way too much but its just so tempting cos its so good and cheap. i fell over twice this week cos i have no sense of balance. the first time it was because of drunkeness and did a klinsmann like dive across the dancefloor and the second time the floor was just wet. my flatmate thought it was the funniest thing she's ever seen. aah, english people annoying me again today cos i wanted to watch the rugby and they couldn't understand how it was an all-ireland team and then started talking about how they "own" australia. ahh imperialism but the welsh girl's welsh boyfriend was up and they wanted new zealand to beat england as well so i didn't feel like such a loner. louise will understand.

i have a night off cos my assessment was today. have work i can be doing but ill leave it... so i got into fashion! yey so happy. but weve been told if we dont work our asses off our places will be given to other people... anyways, so i went to ministry of sound last night. SO LARY! we had loads of fun though- it was really great cos my friends got into their specialism too so everybody was happy. i had to get quite drunk in order to forget that the music was shit.... it was ok sometimes..they played some good pop and r and b but then some awful stuf 2!

DETTTTE!!!! Your uni is next to the Natural History museum??????!?!?!? FUUUUUUCK!!!! Last time I was in London I stayed in the Baden Powell House, right next to it! I didn't phone you cos I thought I'd be too busy to visit you (my schedule was pretty full), but if I had known you were like two seconds away from me...AAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! I'm so sorry! I'm really gutted I didn't get to see ya, that's bloody annoying. And now it looks like the next time I'll be in London is for Ben Folds, so...shoite. Actually, I might be travelling up around the 4th/5th to visit Cassie who's in London at the time, so I might see you around then. Oh, Bronagh, I don't think I can afford to come up for LCD Soundsystem. I'm a bit broke and the journey alone would cost me around £50, which is more than one weeks wages for me. I'm gutted about that, I really wanted to see them.

My radio show was last night, it went pretty well I must say. I went on a bit of a rant about date rape at one point (I had a bit of a heated debate with a friend of mine yesterday on the subject which I dont want to get into cos it'll make me too angry) which I hope didn't bore too many people, but apart from that I did pretty well. I have it on tape if anyone wants to listen to it when we get back to Belfast, gonna send it off to my parents but I might delete the rant first cos they'll be like "trust Aideen". I was ridiculously nervous, but it went alright.

yay, aideen, i really wanna go and see lcd soundsystem. if you book trains early you can normaly get from manchester to london for about twenty quid return. or you could look into the mega bus. our halls has finally got a computer cluster. woo-hoo so i can now use the internet more. i'm starting work tomorrow night from midnight unti 3.30am yikes but the pay is actually £7.75 an hour. sweet ass, that's what i say. was in training on sat. from nine to five and they gave us free subway for lunch. also lots of free tea and coffee and subway cookies! i just hope i'm not crap at it, i bet ya i'll fall asleep or something. by the way, don't go and see saw 2 cos its crap and overly violent and disgusting. i thought i was gonna be sick during it. but i went to this babyshambles album launch party the other night and got free posters and stuff. there was just so many wannabe petes though it was funny i.e lots of trilbys and skinny ties. etc. but it was good. also mark, there are so many bloody irish people here as well, i went out on thursday night and there was about 8 of us and only 2 of them were english. reminds me of reverse colonisation in dracula. eugh cowan.

hey everyone, sorry i havent been here a lot, i havent been able to get online very much. i had a great time when mark and nikki and caoimhe came to stay last week, it was quite hectic. im sitting here in the library because i have a big essay to write for tomorrow and i dont really know what its about. whoops! maybe i will be the first one thrown out of uni!i have been drinking far too much this week and staying up far too late, i just need to crash for about 24 hours and then i would feel better. went to see in her shoes, it is quite a good movie. i found babysham in iceland for £1.50 and it has a cork like champagne ( i cant spell that). i havbe another essat due in for friday for english but it shouldnt be too bad, are you going to come up dette? when? i am going to go home for a few days for the dentist at the start of december and then maybe go to ben folds and then go home on the 17th i think, so make sure you choose a weekend when i am in glasgow, but no worry of exams, they dont start till january!? i have been doing a lot of lazing around, yes i did see the pie hats in neighbours and i know who dies and i also know other people who die and basically a giant event that happened in austrailian neighbours to do with it all, sounds like the best episode ever! connor and serena are in love???? what the hell??? our common room has no channel four so i couldnt watch peep show, but i found out a guy in my building has a series on dvd so i shall be borrowing that for sure. aideen you are a bitch for not coming to glasgow, you will live to regret the day you ever toyed with annie logan!!!!!! talk to everyone soon hopefully when i have written this essay!

hey, i'm so tired and i have to go to my french oral class. went out last night so am a bit wrecked. ahh deborah david kelly was standing outside our student's union yesterday so i tried to walk as fast as i could. haven't seen chris walls yet though. hmm hmm. yeah, i got a job! basically it's for the uni. annual fund and we have to phone alumni, see what they're up to and ask them to make a 'donation.' i had an interview on tuesday and i felt like such an ass cos i had to go into a room by myself and then phone the interviewer. the first month is usa calling so i'll be doing 2 nights a week but the hours are 11pm-2am so don't tell my mum and dad that. i'll see how it goes. they pay us about £7.50 an hour. i had training last night and we got paid about £6 an hour for that and we did nothing, just sat in a room and talked and ate sweets. have it again tonight. i feel a bit bad though cos daryl came up cos it's his reading week and i'm abandoning him to go to lectures and training shite. better go, late for french.

it's ok helen, i got it done! got daryl to copy and paste it to an e-mail instead of an attachment. one of the shittest essays i've ever written though, this whole law thing is tough. i went to watch the corporation last night cos they are showing documentaries in our union every monday night, for free woo-hoo! all about the evils of the world and stuff. it was v. interesting but also long, but i got free tea! anyway, yous should watch it. i was just walking down the road to the language centre and i met ryan hanna and niall morris, whose hair is very nice at the moment by the way. that is niall's hair, not ryan's hair.

thanks dette and helen, i had a lovely time! am just freaking out tomorrow cos i have an essay to hand in tomorrow and i did half of it on daryl's computer and then e-mailed it so i could finish it at the library here. am at the library now and i can't open it cos these computers have works and not word and ahhhhhh. i did so much work on that and can't even remember what i wrote. am so annoyed. i hate computers too. i wish everything was handwritten.

hey guys have been stuck on this fucking computer for the last fucking 2hours trying to get my bloody computer programming done and i cant do it - i absolutely hate computers! grrr! yeah aideen r u talking this week as in the 7th or the week after? ur radio show sounds so cool, u def have to get the interent link set up soon. and as i have no money, i wont be able to go to the show but either monday or tuesday nite after 5 im free. how the hell do all u guys get reading weeks and everything? so much work its all piling up - agh! have another test on monday - the third ive had since ive been here - what the hell? where is this easy lifestyle students are supposed to have? sorry on a bit of a rant. had a great time last nite - went to see fireworks in battersea park, well when i say went to, i really mean standing outside so i dont have to pay. it was pretty excellent cos we were all down by the river and everything was all lit up, really nice. and then we went back to the common rooms in my halls and had so much to drink - it was not good. and then some person was like, "hey we should all go to this house party that these french people are having" - worst idea ever. have no idea even where it was and urgh, i just cant describe how crap it was. so we left pretty soon and had more drink (yeah i sound like such a computer-hating alcho) but basically, i ended up throwing up in my shoes lovely, yeah? so now i am down one pair of shoes, have a ton of work to do, a test tomoro and am completely broke. its all good.

Hey you lot! Helen I'm going to see Partyline and Spider and the Webs, the same bands that played at Ladyfest (and Allison Woolfe and Tobi Vail's new bands respectively). They're pretty good, I'm still deciding about whether or not to go, cos if I do I can't get a refund on my Chicago ticket...could always tout it at the door I guess. Agh decisions decisions! Btw I wanna c both of you when I'm in London, esp Dette cos I haven't seen you yet! Text me and we'll meet up. I'm heading up today. Also yes we have to go to the carol concert! Although Mrs Smye will probably make us sing with the choir...eek!

hey, will see ya dette and helen today. yay! i just went down to the kitchen to get some breakfast and i had to clean it before i could even get a bowl of cornflakes, it's so disgusting there was rubbish lying on the floor and everything. i quickly looked into the living room and felt sick, didn't even go in there. messy boys! we watched three colours red last night, really good film. i'm away to clean the bathroom before i have a shower.

i feel so good - just had quiche while watching old OC - fab combination! well today i did life drawing all day, was so refreshing to get to just draw, and to not think about concepts 4 once...

Oh my god Dette that question is so sick!!! Do you fancy meeting up in London next week? I'll be up from Sunday til Wednesday (which unfortunately means I miss a screening of "Brain Surgeons from Hell" - nooooooooo!) so I can meet you London people at some stage between those dates. Also, if either of you fancy going to see Chicago on Monday night in the West End for £20 or you know anyone else who might, I have a ticket for the show but I might not go so you can have it instead. I just did my first radio show! I ROCK!!! I played Hole, Sleater-Kinney, The Organ, Bjork, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Le Tigre and more. How cool am I? Unfortunately I think people might not have heard me properly because there was something wrong with the microphones, but hey, it was a good experience anyway. And in less than two weeks we're getting Community Service Broadcast License which means we'll be doing a whole week where we're gonna broadcast to the whole of Canterbury. Also, they're trying to get internet streming up and running so you can all listen to meeeee every week! YEYNESS!

Anyway I am tired as fuck and I hafta work tomorrow so I'm gonna scram, but I too am wondering about the whole Hospital thing - what kind of job do you have Matthew? Janitor? Tuck shop cashier?

Aaaah, had third driving lesson today, was so scary, first time i was properly on a road, although it was only a country road, Matthew- i had to go to six roads ends, talk about throwin me in the deep end, so many cars!!! Wasn't so bad in the end though, i actually think i'm gettin better, i bet ya i'll pass my test before you Matthew!

why does everyone who comes to london refuse to see me! BRONAGH that means u! well tough im going to see u anyway so screw u! no it will be good. have decided not to quit my course just yet as the exams are so deadly u only need 30% to pass so yay! i guess thats good. feeling way better this week cos i was actually able to do a whole coursework sheet - thats major major news for me. previously i could only hand in like 1 or 2 questions out of 6. so ive been a total recluse because i need to get o top of the work - didnt even go oout for halloween - such a geek. however, there are trails of toilet roll everywhere which was some persons costume. my friend rob was persuaded to dress as a cheerleader - he didnt even win best costume! there is a scary amount of cross-dressing going on here. i think it may have something to do with the lack of females. sorry im desperately trying to think of something exciting to write but cos ive been working have done nothing much. oh wait - went to see wallace and gromit - very good and also, oh my god, went out on sat for my friend, angela's birthday. went to this restaurant in chinatown - apparently the best in the whole of london and oh my god it was absolutely amazing. angie had like preordered the menu to suit everyone and it was so nice. there was to start - all sorts of pork and ham and wait for it jellyfish and chicken feet. then after that, about 8 lobsters between the 12 of us, it was really really really nice - had never had it before. thennn..... every single type of chinese food ever! - like sweet and sour pork, chinese beef, chinese noodle soup, prawns, a whole fish complete with eyes and all (was really good), chinese steamed veg, chicken, more pork (about 4 different types) and wait for it...pig intestines!!!! the chinese are also really into their karioke. i think angie must have some sort of family connection with the place bcos first of all, she turned up an hour late and then just sauntered in past all the queuing customers and all the waiters greeted her like a manager or something. yeah so i was saying, she had also booked this function room with a plasma screen for karioke. there was only a choice of 'girls just wanna have fun' or chinese pop and since my cantonese/mandrine is non-existance i had to pass, shame. but all the chinese people there sang. was crazy. yeah so the meal we think, between the 12 of us must have cost a couple of hundred pounds and we felt so bad cos its like a chinese tradition for the birthday person to pay for it so i felt like such a tramp not paying. especially since we got angie the amelie dvd (no i still havent seen it) and all her chinese mates got her really expensive presents like crystal and stuff. the guy i was siting beside was wearing a versace (yeah spelt wrong) jacket and his dad bought him a bmw for his birthday and he spent this summer lying on beaches in brazil and thailand. but if ur paying £16000 a year for tuition fees, whats a bmw every once in a while?

ahh helen can't believe you got your nose pierced. was it agony? don't forget i'm coming to see you on friday night! also just worked out it'll take 48 mins to get from marylebone to your tube station. aahh. i spend all my life on trains. just at daryl's now, we'll probably do nothing all week cos i am broke beyond belief and i still owe debs twenty quid for the prodigy ticket. aideen, lcd soundsystem are playing manchester. come to manchester! i'm really close to the manchester academy, probs a 4 min walk from my door to the front door of the academy and the student union is right next door to that. also the bar in our hall rules, our party was class on friday, they had fireeaters and everything. as per usual i left my costume to the last min. so i had to dress up as a witch and had to borrow my flatmate's witch's hat. see ya soon.
