The is one noticable difference between Orlaith and Zoe Slamon. Where Zoe is a stupid dog-faced bigot, Orlaith is the epitome of classness, irishness ans sexiness. So there.

Bronagh

Is anyone going out saturday night? Haven't seen you all in ages. oh wait actually oxegen is next weekend so i should save my monnies for that, cos apparently work are stealing all my money in tax. i get it back, blah de blah de blah but not till the end of the freakin' tax year. curses. it also doesn't look like i'll get it off so i'm gonna have to phone in sick from our lovely tent. i had to tell loads of people that they weren't going on holiday today. everyone is actually stupid, you get to realise that.

Yeah Matt, what did you expect when you didn't sign yer name. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Who the hell is Orlaith?

Christ, I wanna go to Glastonbury really bad.

Annie

i thought it might have been bernadette, matthew you should have known better than to not sign in. i am going to H&M tomorrow, yes you are jealous. Orlaith is secretly zoe salmon, there is no difference between them.

Aideen

I take it that was you below Mark? Sign yer feckin' name!

Anyone fancy heading into town on Monday?

Why would you want to meet Bono? He would probably be too busy being arrogant or singing on Band Aid to meet you anyway. I think itis a great injustice that you all laze about like big lazers while I have to do a test about particle accelerators, flux linkage an nuclear fusion/fission. I drew a pic for Anita in the library, it was full of comedy insults such as stink lines and the phrase 'smelly rubbish, not as smelly as Anita tho'.

God I'm bored

PS who saw BB last nite?

'I was peeling prawns' Makosi
'too' Derek
'two prawns' M
'only two' D
'thats what you said' M
She then walked through the bedroom and before anyone could speak she said 'I was peeling prawns too' in the least convincing fake sober voice. Genius

Bronagh

HaHa, your post made me laugh aideen, ya big drunken tramp! This has been one of the most boring weeks of my life cos i am training for this call centre job where you have to take calls for the passport office and there's loads of crap you have to know. Getting paid for it but don't get paid till next friday and when i do get paid i owe all the money to everyone. aah! but yay i'm going to see u2 on saturday, got the bus sorted and the day off work. I may even meet the bono himself. No, actually. I don't really like bono but it's gonna be a damn good gig.

Love ya all,

Bronagh.

Saturday night was great, met Rigsy (woo!), danced to Amerie and got exceedingly drunk.

The downside: had to get up at 8 next morning for mass, was v. hungover and threw up outside church! Then later again outside my singing teacher's house. So now my parents know I'm a big tramp. I told them that I had period pains (I didn't), that I only had two drinks (I didn't) and that I mixed my drinks - glass of wine and pint of cider (I didn't - I had 4 glasses of wine) so that I had an excuse and they didn't just think I'm an alco. Anyhoo, they were very nice about it, just laughed at me a little, and mum got me a hot water bottle when we got home for my "period pains". Luckily my hangover wore off by the time I got to work, but now I am dying of hayfever.

Trying to decide what I want for my birthday. I was thinking about getting a digital camera for next year (partly so that I can take pix at the S-K gig if I can't bring my camcorder) but I was also thinking about getting a mixer/dj stuff because seeing Rigsy spin them decks on Saturday night rekindled my desire to be a dj. I guess I might as well wait because they'll probably have plenty such facilities at Canterbury for me to get my filthy hands on.

Speaking of which, can we rent out Auntie Annie's again this year? If not for our b-days, for a going away party before we all head off to uni? I start in the last week of September, when does everyone else go off?

Monday, June 20, 2005

Bronagh

I started today, taking calls for the passport office. It's the MM group, just behind Fitness First in Bangor. Was very boring though, plus i don't get paid for two weeks.
i'm going to see U2 on saturday! but don't know how i'm going to get there.
any suggestions?

Matthew

Bronagh what call centre did you apply for?

Ive decided that Im not going to Uni next year so I need to make money so I can go to Germany in Feb next year. The supervisor in work was sacked today so I cuold maybe get a pay rise but at the least I'll get more hours covering hers. Was out of my sling at the end of last week. Score!

Aideen

Hey how come me, Annie, Morag and Helen are the only ones who post? Hmmm??

Started back at Villa tonight (I'm just back), realised how sick I am of the place and how much I dislike my boss. I applied for a new job at a lovely wee coffee shop in Ballyholme. Hope I get it. If I do I reckon I'll work it during the day and at VT in evenings, then quit VT further down the line if this one works out.

So who's going out tomorrow night?

Aideen

Hey, today's Louise's birthday n'est-ce pas?

Aideen

I've been working as a waitress for about 2 years now and I'm still shite. But you *will* be uber-shite to begin with, don't worry - you'll get better.

I went to the gym on Tuesday and did yoga and body combat and my muscles are *killing* me! I went again this morning for the aerobics and "body balance" classes. They were both really hard, but I enjoyed them.

Watched Sugar Rush on Tuesday night and I'm not sure whether I hate Sugar or Stella more - they're both soooo annoying and self-centred (what thinks thou Ms. Logan?). I think if I had Sugar for a best friend and Stella for a mum I'd smote (smite?) my eyeballs with pins à la Oedipus *makes Mr. Burns-esque shuddering noise* Which reminds me - Simpsons movie!!! Yey!!!

Morag, we're going to Skibunny on sat. Pay attention. *claps hands*

Later...

Bronagh

Hello everybody, miss ya all.
I've applied for every job under the sun in bangor. Had an interview yesterday and one again today. Yesterday it was a call centre and today some weird card shop. I need money, i still owe my mum £60 for my oxyegen ticket. Yay helen got a job! how many nights do you work? I wanna go out on sat. so where are we headed. don't think i'm going out tonight due to skintness and am also being dragged to see batman. it better be good or i'll cry. also don't watch that film creep cos i am now forever scared of the london tube and also it was kinda crap cos the lead girl is really annoying and stupid.

love you all!

also poor annie.

Helen

Aideen I agree about ski bunny.

I am a crap waitress, but to be fair, nobody has shown me how to do anything, I've just been watching other waitresses. Aideen, I can never get through to you on the phone!!! I need some tips...

I laughed lots at Annie's story.

So what's everyone up to?

I'm doing feck all. Trying to play piano inbetween doing nothing cos I have an exam next week. EEk. Oh, and I've been going swimming. Is anyone going out tomorrow night?

Aideen

Yey! Helen's a waitress! How was it?

I went crawling back to Villa Toscana last night, and I'm starting working again on Friday. This means no more free Saturdays after this one, so anyone fancy going to Skibunny?

When's Louise's birthday/party? Are we defo having it on a Saturday? Is it this Saturday? In that case lets go to skibunny because a) me and orchestra peeps have already made plans to go and b) Louise'd enjoy it more methinks - the music is more eclectic.

Annie

last night a girl vomited on me, i will say i have had better nights at the lime light. Look last week at auntie annie's i met a boy on the dance floor called Ross who was quite hot, and had a iwerd staring friend. outside in the emerald afterwards him and his friend invited aideen and i to go back to thier house for some sex. we politely declined the offer and ran away. to be fair i think it was only half serious, but that still doesn't stop it being funny!

Tuesday, June 14, 2005

Helen

Heya!

Annie what's this about being propsitioned by the boy of your dreams? hmmm?

Well Aideen, I started waitressing in Villa Italia last night so i can never again slag you off for your job. tell you more about that later...

and this week i am going to remember the o.c. and atl - yo!!!

so are we going to ski bunny or limelite for louise's b'day?

Mark

my god i wish to god these exams were over but yet they continue,
i think im having severe withdrawl symptoms from limelight and theauntie annies.Wats this logan about propositioning?well instead of reading aideens entertaining post that secret one by the way really rocks, anywho i should stop puttingof the dreaded physics and go revise.Oh yea no more history ever!!!!!!!! miss ya's

Bronagh

Hello everybody. i love this post- examness. Yes thursday was a good night but after my millionth drink, events became a bit blurry. I've no idea what i was on about in the taxi, i just hope i didn't start talking about kenco again. From now on i'm walking home. just blame it on the drunken boyfriend. i had to babysit until 3am last nite and one of them had nightmares cos she watched the blair witch project. Now i am tired. what is everyone up to this week? i'm gonna try and be active and not be a big lazy slob.

Happened upon some facts about the 6th (and 7th) Harry Potter books. I'm well intrigued:

We will learn a lot more about Voldemort in this book.

HBP will be an intense book, but with light-hearted moments.

Harry will leave Privet Drive early again, for a "much pleasanter" reason than in book 5.

The opening chapter of book 6 was originally planned for the early parts of book 1, perhaps we get a more in-depth story of what happened the night Harry's parents died.

Neither Harry or Voldemort (including Tom Riddle) are the Half-Blood Prince Arthur Weasley will not be the new Minister of Magic By the ends of books 6 and 7 "you'll have all the back story you'll need", says JK Rowling, and a prequel will not be necessary.

There will be a new Minister of Magic, no more Mr. Fudge.

We will find out what happened to Hagrid's half brother Grawp. He will be a bit more controllable in book 6.

The Dursleys are in the next book, but Harry's stay with them will be the shortest yet. In book 5 he stayed for 4 weeks, so we know his stay will be less than 4 weeks.

Cho Chang will not be a romantic interest of Harry in Book 6, however there will be a "little romance" for Harry says JK.

In books 6 and 7 we will find out exactly why JK killed off Sirius.

Harry becomes even more powerful in book 6.

In books 6 and 7 we will find out why Dumbledore trusts Snape.

We will find out what happened to Wormtail AKA Peter Pettigrew More about the animosity between Snape and Sirius will be revealed in the last 2 books.

JK has said that giving away the form of Snape's boggart and patronus says too much.

We'll definitely find out what Snape's worst fear is, and it'll be important.

Hermione and Draco will NOT end up together in book 6 or 7.

We will find out what exactly Dudley saw when he looked at the dementors.

The reason Voldemort and Harry both didn't die when Voldemort tried to kill Harry, will be revealed.

We will see more of Draco's mother, Narcissa Malfoy, now that Lucius is busy.

We'll learn more about Harry's scar in the last 2 books.

Moaning Myrtle will make an appearance again, as will Tonks.

More about Voldemort's birth will be revealed, thus helping us understand why he is so evil.

Muggles begin to notice "more and more odd" occurrences in book 6, says JK.

The wizarding world is really at war in the sixth book.

Harry will tell his dearest friends about the prophesy after it sinks in to him.

We will learn more about Harry's relatives, including his grandparents (though JK says they aren't really important to the story)

We will find out what happened to Sirius's motorbike.

Book 6 will be shorter than the 5th book (or at least JK's 99% sure, but will not swear on her children's lives)

There will be no "new" nationalities of children at Hogwarts. Hogwarts is a British school, and JK says that adding foreigners for the sake of it is not in her plans.

During an interview, when JKR was asked in which Hogwarts room she'd like to be for 1 hour, she said it would be a room in which Harry has been before, but doesn't know its importance. Yet. (this could have happened in book 5, but we're unsure)

It's very important in the plot that Harry has his mother's eyes, and that her wand was very good for charms.

During an interview for Kids BBC, Victor Greensteet (reporter) asked Rowling if Harry would have a dragon for a pet. This is what she replied: "You can't tame a dragon, no matter what Hagrid thinks. It's simply impossible. So no. He has more common sense. He MAY have a different pet in the future, but for now, I won't say anything else". (This could have been buckbeak, but I'm sure we can expect more pets)

In the same interview for Kids BBC, the reporter asked J. K. if Harry had ever used the internet, and this is what she had to say: "No. They (the Dursleys) won't let him go near Dudley's computer, and Dudley is the only one who has a computer. They hit him if he gets too near to the keyboard. So the answer would be No. I use it a lot, but Harry doesn't. Wizards don't really need to go on the web. They have an even better way to find out what's happening in the outside world, which I think is a lot more fun than the Internet, but I'm going to keep quiet on this one."

The choice between what's right and what's easy will be a pillar of the plot in Harry's last 2 years at Hogwarts

Harry's parents' profession will be a big part of the plot.

Something HUGE will be revealed about Lily Potter.

Aideen

Well, last night was QUALITAAAAY. The taxi ride home was soo funny (oh Morag) and the guy of Annie's dreams propositioned her! Annie, tell yer story...

YES! Frisky Disco is definitely on on Thursday. Unfortunately, I will not be getting pissed because I hafta steward music exams the next morning so won't be able to sleep off my hangover. However: if we go to Skibunny on Saturday as well, I promise that not only can you have the bangor-to-belfast train experience, but I will also get completely bolloxed for your viewing pleasure. Possibly even stoned as well if I can light that damn joint... Image hosted by Photobucket.com

You saw Art Brut? COOL! I think Emily Kane is the sweetest song that ever lived. I couldn't have gone even if I wanted to though - due to Ethics crapness.

*****Edit: just realised that sounds like I wouldn't want to see them, which is a lie! A big fat lie, I tells ya! God, I'm really gonna hafta watch what I type in future, I keep saying stuff that has a completely different meaning to what I want to say (e.g. my RE essay in which I wrote that the Catholic Church still burns heretics.

Has anyone else heard "My Doorbell" by the White Stripes? Tis amazin. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Who's that Mark?

Aideen

Oh thank god French went well! now I only have two more exams! TWO! Helen has none, that bitch. Anyway, who's up for skibunny on Saturday?

Mark are you accusing me of having no sense of humour? Oh yeah people, don't ever fall into the easily avoidable trap of having a girlfriend/boyfriend who suffers from manic depression/eating disorders/self harm, Mark will only slag them off and tell them to get over themselves. Aha, touché or two shay or whatever the phrase is.

Rolos? Bucks fizz? Damn you Miss Dooher...

And here's a little picture I drew of me and Mark chasing Conor:
